Sir Syed Day Celebration

Al-Barkaat Institute of Education celebrated Sir Syed Day on October 17, honoring the birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. This day is significant for AMU alumni worldwide, who celebrate it as a festival. Sir Syed’s contributions benefited not only the Muslim community but also the broader Idea of India. The institute organized a program to recognize his sacrifices for the educational uplift of the Indian populace.

Khadeeja and Sabahat hosted the program, which started with a Qirat recitation by Yusra Khanam from the B.Ed 2nd year. This was followed by speeches from Rafiya Ghufran, Adeeba Rao, Absar Abdul Mujeeb from the B.Ed 1st year, and Neha Kausar from the B.Ed 2nd year. Eram Nahid then performed a song.

The Principal of ABIE highlighted Sir Syed Ahmad Khan as a scholar and reformer who established the “Scientific Society” in 1864, paving the way for MAO College in 1875. In the last, she said that Sir Syed’s message was simple- “Follow the path which leads to the wealth of knowledge and do so with an open mind and heart”. Teachers wished everyone a Happy Sir Syed Day and shared insights about his legacy. And at the end of programme was concluded by AMU Tarana.
