ICSSR Sponsored Two Days National Seminar

ABIE organized ICSSR Sponsored Two Days National Seminar on “Role of Higher Education in the Empowerment of Muslim Women: Problems and Prospects” from 19th-20th Mar’2016.

The programme was stared with the inaugural function. The chief guest was   Dr. Mohd. Muzammil, Vice Chancellor, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra. He focused on the various areas of empowerment which needs special consideration and what role higher education can play in empowering women. Ms. Anuradha Shankar, Additional Director General of Police, Lokayukt, M.P.  was the keynote speaker. She said that the main reason of backwardness is their lack of religious awareness, as their religion itself emphasizes education.  The Guest of Honour was  Prof. A.R.Kidwai. He is  Director, UGC Academic Staff College, and Professor, Department of English, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.

In all  8 technical sessions  were conducted in which almost 80 papers were presented by participants from all over India.

The programme came to an end with valedictory session. The Chief  Guest was Professor Hamida Ahmad, former Dean, faculty of Social Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University. Dr. Parveen Abbasi , Head, Dept. of Botany, St. Andrew’s Degree College, Gorakhpur was Guest of Honour.
