Organization of Scout and Guide Camp – 28 February to 5 March 2022

Al-Barkaat Institute of Education organized a 5-day Scout & Guide Camp from 28^th-5^th March 2022 in order to inculcate the ‘Ready to Serve’ feeling among the students. Mrs. Shagufta, Assistant Professor, ABIE was the coordinator of the camp. On the occasion 3 resource persons Mr. Prem Pal, Mrs. Jyoti Bhargava, and Dr. Kanchan Jain were appointed by The Bharat Scouts and Guides – A National Scouting and Guiding Association of India as trainers. They trained prospective teachers for survival in contingencies like accidents, campfires, etc. The program also attempts to develop several other life skills like teamwork, cooperation, coordination, nationalism, oneness, food without fire, use of group dynamics, health and hygiene, etc among the students.

The program ended with a cultural program followed by a closing ceremony and prize distribution on the fifth and final day i.e. 4^th Mar’ 2022. On this occasion the Chief Guest Mr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui, Joint Secretary, ABES, and all other dignitaries Mr. F.U. Siddiqui, Coordinator, ABES, Mr. S.M. Aman Sir, Executive Committee Member and Incharge of ABIE, Mrs. Sabiha Khan, Principal ABPS, Dr. Waseem Ahmed, Director ABIMS were present. All the three trainers were felicitated by Dr. Rubina Shahnaz, Pricipal, and ABIE, and students were given 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd prizes for their teamwork and representation during the entire 5-day program.
