Observance of National Science Day 28th February 2023

ABIE observed National Science Day on 28th February 2023 to honour the discovery of the Raman Effect by Nobel laureate Indian Scientist and Physicist, Dr. CV Raman. Every year the day is celebrated the importance of science and remind us on the impact it has had on the lives of humans.
On this day a documentary ‘Einstein and Hawking – Master of the Universe’ was screened to the students of B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. in the ICT room of ABIE.
The documentary focused on the contribution made by the two greatest scientists: Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.
Albert Einstein contributed the theory of relativity. The special theory of relativity put forth the most famous equation of all time, E=mc², explained how time is not constant but relative and depends on the spatial conditions of two observers. While the general theory of relativity was able to show that gravity is a property that defines the curvature of space-time. The thory of relativity that paved the way for some of the greatest discoveries and solved many mysteries in the modern scientific era.
Stephen Hawking was one such individual who used the theory of relativity to unlock the universe.
