National Education Day 2017

Al-Barkaat Institute of Education celebrated the National Education Day on 11th November, 2017 to commemorate the birth anniversary of independent India’s first education minister – Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. In the independent country, the focus on education was paramount for the learned understood that no true nation can develop until and unless education was considered a fundamental pillar. The freedom fighter and visionary Maulana Abul Kalam Azad emphasised on quality education as he considered schools to be laboratories which produce future citizens of the country. He strongly advocated universal primary education, girls’ education, free and compulsory education for all children up to the age of 14, vocational training and technical education. He was responsible for streamlining the education system in the country. The students of B.Ed. organized various activities on this day in order to spread awareness about the importance of and the nation’s commitment to education.
