Sports Day Celebration 17th March 2023

Al-Barkaat Institute of Education celebrated sports Day on 17 th March 2023 under Sports
Committee of ABIE for the students of B.Ed. Sports incharge Mr. Himanshoo Kumar Sharma
organized three Indoor sports activities: Carrom, Badminton and Chess. The purpose of
organizing such activities was to call the attention of students to healthy lifestyle, regular
exercises, and competitions.
The charge of conducting Carrom Touranment was given to Dr. Tabassum Qamar and Mrs Azra
Bi. Eight students from B.Ed. I year and II year participated in the event. There were 3 rounds:
Elimination Round, Semi Final and Final. Haseeba Khan of B.Ed. Final year was announced as
the winner and Bushra Saeed of B.Ed. I year as the First Runner Up.
The Badminton Tournament was orgainezd by Dr. Saba Anees and Mrs. Shagufta as the
Incharge of the event. A total of sixteen students from B.Ed. I year and II year took part in the
event. There were four rounds: Elimination, Quarter Final, Semi Final and Final. Supriya Singh
of B.Ed. II year was announced as the Winner and Uzma Parveen of B.Ed. I year as the First
Runner Up.
Dr. Afshan Anees was given the responsibility of organizing the Chess Tournament. No student
took part in the event.
All the teachers and students participated enthusiastically in the events. Organizing such events
develop transferable skills and enables learners to work effectively in a team as they work
towards event objectives and goals.
